Giant Sign designed, fabricated, and installed a lighted blade sign with dual-lit channel letters, light bulbs, and wood paneled faces. Installation on 1-27-2017.

When Coeval Studio came to us with the idea of constructing a projecting blade sign that featured wood panels and marquee light bulbs for the new Americado Restaurant in Fort Worth; we came up with this design which features the fonts and colors from their developed branding guideline. Both faces feature dual-lit (front & reverse) channel letters vertically mounted along with the pink diamond plates on a tongue & groove cedar planked face. The welded frame, supports, and skins are all aluminum. After sourcing out two other types of LED bulbs that we didn’t like as much, we found these classic looking filament bulbs that give out a warm golden glow, but since they are LED, they should last for many years. The installation method was a little more complicated for this particular blade sign as it required some careful removal of the existing rusty cortin steel panels, welding steel plates to the existing I-beam and using schedule 40 steel pipe spacers for our though-bolting method. In the end we were able to re-install the cortin steel panels and still install our sign securely without smashing or resting on their panels.
