QUILL, is the new swanky cocktail lounge that will be opening in Dallas’ Design District soon.  Located adjacent to the infamous Oak Restaurant as well as PakPao Thai, this location on Oak Lawn Ave., is a beautifully renovated space that required a sophisticated yet beautiful sign to compliment the interiors of this space.

Quill’s main sign above the entrance features a reverse (halo) lit channel letter with routed faces which house the translucent gold vinyl overlayed plastic inserts that allow the gold to glow as well as the halo-effect around the letters when lit up at night.  We powder-coated the letters and screws to give it a nice matte black finish and to ensure that the paint does not fade over time.

BUTTERMILK SKY PIE SHOP is coming to Colleyville!  This famous franchise in Nashville and Atlanta, Georgia is coming to the DFW and has landed in Colleyville.  This super-customized sign features lighted (front-lit) channel letters mounted on a cedar wood backer panel, and features the PIE SHOP letters routed in wood with white plastic behind.  It also features a welded aluminum cabinet behind which houses the LEDs for PIE SHOP and allowed us to mount to the stone wall’s fascia.

Hypnotic Emporium Ice Cream, located right next to the famous Hypnotic Donuts on Garland Road near the south side of White Rock Lake, is opening soon and we were asked to fabricate and install this fun cute looking sign for their new store. We also made the Hypnotic Donuts sign years back and this new one for their ice cream venture definitely “one-up’d” that one.

The sign features a discontinued and difficult to find anodized brushed gold returns (we found the last batch in Atlanta, GA), along with a matching gold trimcap on an aluminum backplate with wireway, this slanted sign is small but pulls your eye, due to the angle of installation (on purpose of course).  We used our Samsung-chip based LEDs to internally illuminate this sign, so hopefully although it’s white, it will be brighter than most of the other signs on the strip at night (nothing will be brighter than the Hypnotic Donuts sign at night since that one was made with red neon).

Ridgway Mailing Finishing Center in Dallas

We fabricated the FINISHING CENTER letters with black acrylic faces and a 2″ black trimcap to match their existing RIDGWAY MAILING sign. These were mounted on clear poly-carbonate strips due to the rocky, uneven wall.  We actually removed the existing RIDGWAY MAILING and reinstalled it lower to accommodate the FINISHING CENTER letters which we made to match their existing sign.

Fruitealicious is soon to off its “Refreshment Redefined” drinks in the new Ranch 99 Market in Carrollton (located on the Southeast corner of President George Bush Tollway and Old Denton Rd.).  A long-time customer of Giant Sign, we were able to provide a low cost sign for their new space which will be serving their famous bubble teas, smoothies and more.

The sign features a two layers of 1″ Gatorfoam, with the letters being digitally printed and routed to provide a 3D effect on top of the 1″ white backer.  We painted the sides of all the letters a darker orange that gives the letters even more pop.  Asked to provide more lighting since this space is in a darker corner of the supermarket, we fabricated lamp tracks and placed on top of the soffit below, giving them some needed light and glow.

Buckner in Dallas as they literally purchased some giant signs from us.  A returning client of ours, we’re glad that they can be seen, day or night, by their potential customers driving down I-30.  We fabricated lighted channel letters on backplates with a hidden wireway behind and had to do a bit of structural fortification as this huge sign projects several feet over the rooftop).
